Birth Empowerment & Pregnancy Yoga
Welcome to the Birth Mama Yoga Program.
We offer a beautiful and transformational Birth Confidence & Pregnancy Yoga Program either online or join our in person 5 week program, located on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney.
Our program has been lovingly designed to empower and instil confidence within you for your birthing journey, through education and insight on all things labour.
While also creating a strong mind and body with our prenatal yoga to carry you throughout pregnancy, labour & beyond.
Plus, meet like-minded women on the same journey as you head into, or return to motherhood.
We welcome women throughout all stages of pregnancy to come and join us.
No yoga experience required.
Regardless of this being your first or third pregnancy, you will gain valuable tools to carry with you throughout your pregnancy and birth.
Our hope is that this course brings you support throughout your pregnancy, and instills in you the strength and resolve to have the birth you desire.

In Person Program
Our in person programs run for 90 minutes and is comprised of two sections, Birth Empowerment & Prenatal Yoga. The first part of our sessions is run by our Birth & Postnatal Doula Meaghan Ansell, where she will cover various topics on birth and labour.
The aim is to help you to feel prepared, confident and empowered for your birthing journey ahead.
There will be a chance to ask questions and share your thoughts and feelings around your pregnancy and hopes for your birth. The course will look at many important topics discussed in regular antenatal classes, however what makes our program so special is how we delve deeper into understanding how the connection of mind and body go hand-in-hand in labour, while looking at the practical things too.
Following the Birth Empowerment is our prenatal yoga series run by Yoga Teacher, Laural Furze. These classes are suitable for all levels and aim to help you build strength, release tension, and support you through pregnancy labour and beyond. Plus, helping women incorporate mindfulness into their lives to create a sense of presence and calm to the weeks leading up to your birth and motherhood journey.
WEEKLY course content:
Our sessions has been designed to build upon each week to ensure you get the support, education and information you need for your birth.
No yoga experience is required.
We will carefully progress through our prenatal yoga sequences to ensure you safely and confidently move through each class. We offer modifications and props to support you in each trimester.
This program was designed and hosted by Laural Furze and Meaghan Ansell.
Laural owns a female fitness and yoga business called Fit & Flow and is a Yoga Teacher specialising in Pre & Postnatal Yoga, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga.
Yoga has had a profound and positive impact on Laural's life that she has now dedicated her time to sharing the gift and art of yoga with others.
Meaghan Ansell is a Birth and Postnatal Doula, who trained with the Australian Doula College and now runs her own doula practice called, Holding The Space Births.
She is truly passionate about pregnancy, labour and helping women on their own birthing journeys.
Meaghan is also a mother, with a beautiful daughter Grace and has another little girl on the way in June 2021.
